アドウェア

パソコンの画面に必ず広告を表示させるかわりに、無料でつかえるソフトウェアです。

ソフトウェアの画面の一部に表示したり、InternetExplorerなどのWebブラウザに常駐して広告ウィンドウを表示させるものなどがあります。

よく間違われるのが、「アドウェア」と「スパイウェア」と区別がつかなくなり、「アドウェア」は悪いものの一種と考えられていますが、「スパイウェア」のように自分のパソコンの情報をインターネットを通して外部にだすことはありません。
